Bruce Pedersen, 81, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away Saturday, April
6, 2019. Bruce was born to Howard and Ethel Pedersen on Jan. 17, 1938
in Melrose, Massachusetts.
Bruce graduated from Bisbee High School in 1956. In 1957 his father
helped him secure a printing apprenticeship at the Encinitas Coast
Dispatch in San Diego County. During a 45-year career, Bruce worked as
a printer and later as production director of several newspapers,
including the Pacific Beach Sentinel, Casa Grande Dispatch, and the
Kingman Daily Miner.
He met his wife, Marie, in San Diego in 1973. They went on to live
together in Houston, Texas, Case Grande, Arizona, and finally settled
in Kingman, Arizona where he retired in 2003. Bruce and Marie enjoyed
an active retirement, spending many miles on the road in their motor
home visiting family and friends from coast to coast.
Bruce is survived by his beloved; Marie, brother; Barrie, and three
children; Barrie D. Pedersen and wife Dawn, Bruce A. Pedersen and wife
Judy, and Dr. Rose C. Pedersen Vargas and husband Dr. Jason Vargas. He
is also survived by his nephew; Greg Pedersen, four grandchildren;
Barrie, Bruce, Nathan and Tori, and four great-grandchildren; Landon,
Jackson, Camden and Dorothy.
Bruce’s family is planning a final farewell and celebration of his
life in his childhood hometown of Bisbee, Arizona.
