Chandler Woman Taken By Death

MESA, Jan. 2--Mrs. Christiane Boel, resident of Chandler and Mesa districts 40 years, died Thursday night in Southside District Hospital after a short illness. A native of Denmark, she was 65 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Boel, a retired Chandler farmer; a son, Chris Boel, jr., Chandler; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Waterfield and Mrs. Laura Payne, both of Chandler; seven grandchildren, and one sister residing in Denmark.

Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the M. L. Gibbons Mortuary, with the Rev. Roger W. Sawyer of the Chandler Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Double Butte Cemetery near Tempe.
