Funeral services for Max F. Kruse, 62, a native of Germany, who died Saturday at his home, 905 E. Garfield, will be at 2 p.m. today in Memory Chapel, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams.

The Rev. E. H. Herrscher will officiate. Cremation in Greenwood Memorial Park will follow.

Mr. Kruse came to Phoenix 5 1/2 years ago from Clinton, Iowa, following his retirement as a painter for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. He had been in ill health 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lola O. of Phoenix; three daughters, Mrs. Ervin Noble and Mrs. Charles Marse, both of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Oscar Blount of Clinton, Iowa; and four sons, Gus, Johnnie and Fritz, living in Iowa; and Max of Sacramento, Calif. A brother in Iowa also survives.
