| Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, March 29, 2019 Louis B. Bellesi, 89, former longtime resident of Prescott, Arizona, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in Colorado Springs after a brief illness. Lou was born in Chicago to Battista and Louise (Belzone) Bellesi and attended public schools there. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, retiring in 1985. In 1986 the family moved to Prescott where they lived for 31 years before moving to Colorado Springs. In retirement, he belonged to the Antelope Hills Men’s Club, Citizens’ Water Advocacy Group, and the Public Lands Foundation. Lou is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; a daughter Anne Foley (John); three grandchildren, all of Colorado Springs, a sister Irene of Gardnerville, California; a cousin Richard of Colorado Springs; and several nephews and nieces. No services will be held.
