| Published in the Daily Miner on June 27, 2019 - Kingman, Arizona - Joan Ursula (Denney) Migalski passed away June 23, 2019 at her home in Golden Valley. She was born April 22, 1933 in Los Angeles to John and Nellie (Brennan) Denney. She married Robert Frederick Migalski, the love of her life, in 1954 after a courtship of 10 long weeks. They resided in California together until Bob passed Dec. 26, 2001. In 2006, she came to Golden Valley to spend her “golden years,” living next door to Bob’s brother, Chuck, who “watched over” her. Joan’s vocation was in the fashion industry. After marriage, she sewed, knitted, and crocheted for family and friends. She made treasured gifts – clothes, toys, etc. for grand and great- grandchildren. Joan and Bob loved to vacation in their travel trailer, something she continued to do for many years. She enjoyed entertaining on her patio, generously pouring drinks for friends. Among her favorite times were when her grandchildren and great-grands came to visit and road trips. Joan was preceded in death by husband; Bob, son; James Jay, granddaughter; Rachel, and son-in-law; Ron Julian. She is survived by daughter; Kay “KT” (Skip) Ripley, grandchildren; Joshua (Casidy), Joseph (Catherine), and Jessica Julian, great-grandchildren; DeAnne, Erynn, Jamie, Keira, Jacob, Frasier, Tyler, and Logan, “bonus” great- grands; Garett, DJ and Andrea, great-great-grandson; Reyes, special cousins; Charyle (Steve) Trujillo, brother-in-law Chuck (Linda) Migalski, and many friends. We thank Uncle Chuck and dear friends Deb, Wendell, Ada, Rich, and Carl for their love and assistance to “Ammy” these many years. |
