Hugh S. Antrim Jr., 87, a retired racing official with Turf Paradise and Arizona Downs, died April 23, 1983, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.

Mr. Antrim, of Phoenix, was born in Cairo, Ill., and moved to Arizona in 1916. He attended Stanford University and was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lou; son, Hugh S. III; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
