| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Thursday, July 7, 1960, p. 24 Secretary's Death From Auto Crash Injuries 31st City Fatality In 1960 A 20-year-old Phoenix secretary died yesterday of injuries suffered in a two-car crash June 29 at Fifth Avenue and Campbell. Barbara Ann Burke of 515 W. Minnezona, died of multiple injuries. Miss Burke was driving her sedan north on Fifth Avenue when it and an east bound vehicle driven by Jo Marilyn Vance, also 20, of 1110 W. Roma, collided at the intersection. Police officers cited Miss Vance for failing to yield the right of way. Miss Burke's death was the 31st traffic fatality recorded within the city limit of Phoenix so far this year, compared to 25 traffic deaths during the same period of 1959. Her death was the 243rd traffic fatality in Arizona this year, compared to 293 killed up to the same date in 1959. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Thursday, July 8, 1960 Services Tomorrow For Barbara Burke Rosary for Barbara Burke, 19, who died Wednesday from injuries suffered in a car accident, will be at 8 p.m. today in Whitney and Murphy's Chapel, 330 N. Second Avenue. Requiem high mass will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Scottsdale. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Miss Burke, born in St. Paul, Minn., came here eight years ago. A graduate of Scottsdale High School, she was a legal secretary and clerk for her father. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier parish. Her home was at 515 W. Minnezona. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Burke; a brother, John E.
