| Monterey County Herald (Monterey, California) Thursday, August 5, 1999, p. B3 Mary Agnes Felty of Rippling River, Carmel Valley, a homemaker, died Wednesday at Sunrise Convalescent Hospital in Monterey. She was 93. Born Oct. 9, 1905, in East Prairie, Mo., she attended high school in Missouri, worked as a welder in shipyards during World War II and lived in Roswell, N.M., before moving to Monterey County 15 years ago. Mrs. Felty was a member of the Grange and enjoyed reading and playing pinochle at the Monterey Senior Center. Mrs. Felty is survived by two sons, Richard Felty of Monterey and Carl Felty of Applegate Valley, Ore.; a daughter, Thelma Barnett of Phoenix; a sister, Gertrude Wilbanks of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Edward, died in 1972. Funeral services will be held Aug. 12 at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, Ariz., followed by burial at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, Ariz. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the donor's favorite charity. See Also: Find A Grave |
