1952 in Pomona, CA. Passed away September 18,
2019 in Scottsdale, AZ. She moved to Colorado
in 1967 and married John Bechtold in 1969 and

Jeanne proudly served the public for yup over
27 years, working for the U.S. Forest Service
and The Internal Revenue Service. She retired
with distinction for her dedication and hard
work.

Jeanne loved animals and being outside. She
enjoyed assisting her children with 4-H in
their younger years, where they showed sheep,
chickens, goats and rabbits. Over the years
she cared for any and all types of critters
that her children would bring home, as well as
horses and many wonderful dogs. Most recently
her beloved Goldendoodle, Chewy. Camping and
fishing were passions she shared most
frequently with her son, Chris. They camped
and fished for trout, grayling, salmon and
halibut in Alaska. Deep sea fishing in the
Gulf of Mexico she did with her parents, as
well as pan fished all over Arizona. She loved
gardening and quilting as well. She made some
of the most beautiful quilts. Her most recent
quilt was made for her first great grandchild,
Emersyn.

Because of her enormous heart, she was known
as a kind, loving and supportive friend to
many. She had an infectious laugh, and a
wonderful sense of humor. Spending time
watching movies, having cookouts and, playing
with children at family gatherings were all
very important to her. She made the best frog
eye fruit salad, monster cookies, and homemade
yeast rolls ever!
