Mrs Henderson Helped Organize Soroptimist Club

This community, where she had so many warm friends, was shocked and saddened by the death early Tuesday morning, January 23, of Mrs Nell Gay Henderson, wife of Taylor S. Henderson, which occurred in Community Hospital here. She had been a patient there since January 19.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Howard Blazer of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Mrs Henderson and her husband resided in Wickenburg since 1945 with the exception of a few years when they made their home in Santa Barbara, Calif. They returned to Wickenburg in 1963.

Mrs Henderson was a charter member of the Soroptimist Club of Wickenburg and served as its third president in 1949. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and served for two years as Electa and one year as treasurer of that order.

Mrs Henderson was born October 3, 1900 in Mays, Indiana. She had lived in the West much of her life.

Surviving are the husband here and one brother, Paul Stevens of Quemado, New Mexico.
