Walter A. Spracklin, 88, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City,
AZ. on Friday, January 20, 2006. He was born in Montreal, Canada on
November 10, 1917 to Absalom and Beatrice Spracklin.

Walter served in the Royal Canadian Air Force when he met and married
Erma A. Mix on November 10, 1942, which was a true love story for 63
years. Walter and Erma lived in Montreal and had four children, Ronald
and Gail and two daughters who passed away in infancy. Walter worked
at TCA (Trans Canada Airlines) until 1956 when they moved the family
to Southern California. While in Los Angeles he worked for Sargent
Engineering Company. A company relocation moved Walter and Erma to
Odessa, Texas. While in Texas, they joined a square dancing group and
loved to dance.

After 20 years at Sargent Engineering, Walter retired in 1979 and
moved to Tucson, AZ. where they enjoyed dancing, friends, extensive
traveling in their motor home and summers in their Flagstaff, AZ.
vacation place. They moved to Lancaster, CA. in 1998, which brought
them closer to family and another move in 2001 to Lake Havasu City,
which also brought them together with their family. Walter was loved
by everyone who knew him and lived his life with dignity, grace and
loving devotion to his family. He always had a special "thank you" for
everyone.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Erma Spracklin of
Lake Havasu City, AZ.; son, Ronald and daughter in law, Gail McCann;
daughter, Gail (Robert) Sims; granddaughters, Brandi and Cody
Spracklin; grandsons, Jeff (Melissa) Sims and Greg (Kristen) Sims;
great granddaughter, Sydney Sims and soon to be great granddaughter,
Sienna. Preceded in death by his two daughters and a sister, Dorothy.

Memorial Service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel on
Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Condolences and memories may be
