Violette C. (Vicky) Flower (90) passed away peacefully on Monday,
March 11, 2013 at her home in Greenwood Village, Colorado with her
daughter, Donna, by her side. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May
29, 1922 to Chin Shu On and Rebecca Marie Proulx.

She was an active member in Lake havasu City, Arizona where she and
her husband of 44 years, Earle G. Flower, retired in 1984. In 2010 her
son, Michael, helped her relocate to Colorado to be near her family.

She has remained a supporter of the Salvation Army where she
volunteered as a youth in Omaha. While raising her children in Des
Moines, Iowa (1955-1975) she wasactive as PTA President and was often
in the press as Mrs. Flower, President of the Des Moines Garden Club.
She was an artist in flower design, won many awards and taught
classes. After relocating to Little Rock in 1975 she became District
Director for the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs and a certified
flower show judge.

While living in Havasu she was the Northwestern District Director of
the Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs and a floriculture
superintendent for the Mohave County Fair. She also earned her
Master's Certificate as a Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judge
after 13 years of study. She was an active member of the Havasu Garden
Club serving as President and Treasurer.

Vicky was also involved in the Elkettes in Lake Havasu and she and
Earle enjoyed world travel as well as Elks Camporees and RV travel
with the London Bridger's RV Club. She also enjoyed crafts and was a
volunteer and supporter of the Havasu Regional Hospital Auxiliary's
Bazaar and other fundraisers.

She is survived by her three married children, Donna Flower-Carroll of
Newport Beach, California, Michael Flower of Highlands Ranch, Colorado
and Patrick Flower of Petaluma, California. She is also survived by
four granchildren and one great-grandson, as well as brother, Don
chin, of San Diego, California and sister, Sue Worley, of Omaha,
Nebraska.
