| Published in Today's News-Herald on Mar. 17, 2013 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona (personal article) >> Sept. 13, 1922 - March 10, 2013 << Cathy Taylor, daughter of Herbert and Marie Burke, passed away Sunday morning in her home with her family by her side. Born in Cross Plains, Wisconsin, her family moved to Downey, Ca where Cathy graduated from Downey High School in 1940. She later worked for North American Aviation. Then moved to Palom Springs in 1952 where she became one of the first nail technicians in what was the "playground of the stars". She married her late husband Donald Taylor in 1969. In 1992 Cathy and Donald made Lake Havasu AZ their home base, while they enjoyed the open road in their RV. Cathy relished the desert sun, swimming, gardening and her good friends at the Senior Center where she enjoyed many activities. She had a gift of grace, and many life lessons that she taught to her family throughout the years. Cathy enjoyed a wonderful life full of friends, family, artistic pursuits and travel to the Tahitian and Hawaiian Islands. Preceded in Cathy's death, by her husband Donald Taylor. Cathy is survived by her daughters Terry Cameron Baldwin of Mexico, Carol Gray Gauthier of Palm Springs Ca, her son Wayne R. Chilton (wife Jane M. Chilton) of Lake Havasu AZ. Grand children Shawn Gray (wife Ursula Gray), Yohosame Cameron, India DeGaine, and Taija Gauthier. Great Grandchildren Johnny McCrary, Lionel Gray, and Zipporah Gray. Great great grandson Deegan McCrary. |
