Liela Caroline Fritz (Pegorin/Harris) was born on February 8th, 1929
and went to see the Lord on November 12th, 2019. She was born to Paul
L. Fritz and Susan Kersch in Herscher, Illinois. She grew up on a
farm in Herscher, busy with all that a farming lifestyle entails. She
lost 3 brothers, all at a young age. Paul Fritz Jr., Francis Fritz
and Ralph Fritz.

She graduated from Herscher High School in 1946 and went on to get her
associates degree at Gallagher Business College in Kankakee, IL. She
worked in management, real estate, sales and owned her own business in
the years to follow in Dixon, IL. She found the love of her life at
35 years old, Joseph L. Pegorin, who adopted her only daughter, Susan
Emily Pegorin while living in Dixon, IL. Unfortunately, they lost
Susan to cancer at the young age of 13. Soon after, they were blessed
to have their only other child, Josef P. Pegorin when they were 40
years old.

In 1995, they moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ and joined Our Lady of the
Lake church and became heavily involved with the soup kitchen and
coordinated with various volunteer management. Within the next year
she lost her husband, Joe, and in 1998 she lost one of her 3 sisters,
Carol Schafroth (Don).

In 2002, she was absolutely blessed to find love again and married Guy
L. Harris. Staying involved with Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church
and Knights of Columbus they enjoyed 16 years of marriage until Guy
passed on December 19th, 2018.

She is survived by her brother Ronald Fritz (Joanne), sisters Anita
Marcotte (Marcel), Marian Flynn (John), Son Josef Pegorin, Daughter-
in-Law Tiffany Anderson, step children Patrick Harris, Kathy Bowlin
and Richard (Chuck) Harris, step grandchildren Lilly Tank, Eva
Anderson, Keith Harris, Robert Wheeler, Jennifer Wheeler, Wesley
Harris, and Brandon Harris. Step great grandchildren McKenzie Basham,
Katelyn, Jacxson and Jacob Croston, Shae Wheeler, and many nieces and
nephews.

She will be incredibly missed by those she left behind but absolutely
embraced by those she rejoins in Heaven.

A Rosary Service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic
Church on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:30 pm. Funeral Mass will
be held at 1:00 pm. There will be a reception at the church following
Mass.
