Herbert Lawrence Flom, 55, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007 in Lake
Havasu City, AZ. He was born on October 26, 1951 in Great Falls, MT.

Herb moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 5 years ago from Bothell, WA. He
worked as a police officer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad
in Seattle, WA. There will never be a more perfect, special and unique
husband and father as Herb. He had so many wonderful qualities, most
of all, his giving and thoughtful nature. He had a great sense of
witty dry humor, fun loving, great cook, passionate, responsible,
handy jack of all trades, and with the most positive attitude approach
to life.

Herb was very proud to serve as a BNSF Police Officer for 27 years,
without one sick day until diagnosed with cancer. His girls were the
joy of his life and he felt very blessed. Herb fought a very brave
battle after being diagnosed in January of 200l with inoperable GIST
cancer, and was told he would have only a few months. Thanks to
pioneers like Herb, who entered clinical trials, there are now two new
drugs on the market that are FDA approved.

He was a special creation that God took extra care to create. We love
you Baby….Herb is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Katherine
Flom, daughters, Katie Flom of Seattle, WA; Karen Flom of Lake Havasu
City, AZ; brother Lee Gass (Mary) of MN; and sister, Joyce Cregan
(Phil) of MN.

A private memorial services will be held at a later date in Chicago,
IL. Condolences and thoughts can be made to his family at www.lietz-
