| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Thursday, September 2, 1982, p. 8 Ethel Roberts, long-time resident, dead at 83 Ethel E. Roberts, 83, a 30 year resident of Wickenburg died on August 22. Ethel came to Arizona with her family in 1908. She taught school for five years in Arizona, and married Roach Roberts in 1925. She is survived by her husband Roach, her eight children, Robert and Earl both of Scottsdale; Vernon of Glendale; E. Jane Woolbright of Kennewick, Wash.; Carolyn McGee of Mesa; Theodore of Winkleman, AZ; Patsy Ellithorpe of Running Springs, CA and Larry of Temple City, Ca; two sisters, Leona Stillion of Glendale and Josephine Jarnigan of Salem, Oregon; 2 brothers, Ray Messick of Glendale and Charles Messick of La Quinta, Ca.; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, at the Chapel of Chimes in Glendale. Burial will be at the Glendale Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Wickenburg Community Hospital Building Fund. See Also: Find A Grave |
