| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Thursday, September 2, 1982, p. 12 Tom C. Cox, 63, a native of New Mexico, died in Phoenix on August 17 (sic: August 15). Cox was owner and operator of Arizona Tank Lines until 1974. He was a long time rider among the Desert Caballeros. Cox is survived by his wife Ada of Phoenix; a sister, Nora Conner of Silver City; a nephew, Tom Connor of Phoenix and another nephew, Bill Conner of Albuquerque, New Mexico. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Wednesday, August 18, 1982, p. D2 Tom C. Cox, 63, former owner and operator of Arizona Tank Lines, died Aug. 15, 1982, in Good Samaritan Medical Center. Mr. Cox was born in New Mexico and moved to Arizona in 1956. He was an Army veteran and was a survivor of the Bataan Death March. Mr. Cox had ranching interests in New Mexico. He was a member of the Sheriff's Mounted Posse of Scottsdale, the Desert Caballeros in Wickenburg and the Verde Vaqueros in Scottsdale. Survivors include his wife, Ada; a sister and two nephews.
