| Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - John William Haslam, 68, passed away September 29, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born October 19, 1933 in Nashua, New Hampshire to George & Clara Haslam. John moved to Lake Havasu two years ago from Ascutney, Vermont. He spent 29 years as an entertainer, most recently at the Woodstock Inn in Woodstock, Vermont. Mr. Haslam was a veteran in US Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing and owned his own houseboat for several years. John played the piano wherever he could find one and he also loved to travel and entertain. He was a past member of the Exchange Club in Redding, California, a past member of the Lions Club in Windsor, Vermont and the Elks Club in Windsor, Vermont. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Patricia Haslam of Lake Havasu; daughters, Lucinda Bratty of Mission Viejo, California, Melinda Haslam of San Francisco, California; step son, Steven Abrisz of Perris, California; step daughter Julie Alarcon of Windsor, Vermont; brother Leslie Haslam of Bakersfield, California and eight grandchildren, Garret and Ethan Bratty of California, Bret, Kiel and Christine Alarcon of Vermont, Jacob, Gabriel and Heather Abrisz of California. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2002, 1:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make contributions in his name to Hospice of Havasu. Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. |
