| Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Don Axelson passed away at 66 years of age on July 9, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Donald Leslie and Avis Axelson on October 20, 1948 in Providence, RI. He was wed to Pamela Jane Brown on January 1, 1998 in Kapalua Beach, Maui, HI; they were married for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army and he was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Don grew up in Rhode Island and lived most in New England and upstate New York. In the early 1990's he moved to South Dakota to start and run a credit card company. He moved to Lake Havasu 10 months ago. Don enjoyed drumming, reading and photography. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Don is survived by his wife, Pam Axelson of Lake Havasu City, AZ; mother, Avis Axelson of Bossier City, LA; step-son, Talon Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Kim Palombo (Joe) of Acworth, GA; brother, Pete Axelson of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Sarah, Kyle and Samantha. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Axelson. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 10 AM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
