| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, December 18, 2019, p. A-5 James "Jimmie" William Bowling, was born April 30, 1962, in Phoenix, to James and Mary Lou Justice Bowling. He was the fourth of five children. Jimmie moved to Oklahoma in the early '80s where he was employed as general manager at General Plastics in Shawnee, Okla., for more than 10 years. He was married to Nysa Low in 1996 and they had a daughter, Savanah, and she was born on Jan. 15, 1997. Jimmie later moved back to Arizona in 2004 and resided and worked in Wickenburg with his best friend, Todd Archibald, until his passing on Dec. 11, 2019. Jimmie's biggest loves of his life were his daughter and his grandchildren (grandmonkeys). He was a very selfless and giving person, with a quiet strength, and always put others before himself. He had many hobbies that he also loved. Those would include fishing, cooking (he could grill a mean steak) and rooting for the Miami Dolphins football team. Winning or losing season, he stuck by his Dolphins. He enjoyed watching his games with his buddy and nephew Matthew (Matchew) Bowling. Jimmie is survived by his daughter Savanah Bowling and grandchildren Lilly Aurora Faith and Blayke Thomas James of Shawnee, Okla.; four siblings, Karen McConnell and Shane (Sharla) Bowling of Oklahoma, Paulette Hayden and Eddie (Vickie) Bowling from Wickenburg, 13 nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles and cousins from Oklahoma, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Arizona. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James Edward Bowling and Mary Lou Bowling. Jimmie had a great love for life and friends and family and he was a very caring and giving individual. All that knew him, knew this to be true. The old saying, "He'd give you the shirt off his back", was very true about Jimmie. We will miss Jimmie more than words can say, but we know he has found his reward, and one day, we will see him again in a much better place. Private family services have been held.
