Snyder, 76, the retired president of Snyder Transfer and Storage, Allied Van Line agent in Phoenix, Sun City and Wickenburg, died on March 3 in the Wickenburg Community Hospital. He had lived in Wickenburg for 37 years. Mr. Snyder graduated from Easton High School in Easton, Pa. in 1923, and from Penn State University in 1930. Prior to coming to Wickenburg in 1945, he worked for 15 years as a chemist for Breyers Ice Cream Company in Newark, N. J. He also worked in the research department of Swift Meat Company in Chicago. Mr. Snyder was active in many civic affairs in Wickenburg including the Board of Directors, Wickenburg Hospital; Wickenburg School Board; President, Rotary Club; Boss, Roundup Club; Worshipful Master, Shrine Club and President and charter member of the Desert Caballeros. Survivors include his wife Marie; children, Patricia Eldridge, and Gill Snyder and four grandchildren. Interment will be at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Building Fund, Wickenburg Community Hospital.
