| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Friday, May 23, 2003, p. B6 David B. Fellars, 62 went home to be with the Lord May 20, 2003. He was born December 20, 1940 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He attended North Phoenix High School, Phoenix College, and Arizona State University. His love of the game of baseball and his position as catcher led him to win numerous awards and championships, such as the Lou Campanella Award and a scholarship to Arizona State University. He majored in business administration. His Phoenix College team won the national championship in 1961. He played semi-pro for Stewart Motors. In 1972, Dave founded Dave Fellars Dump Truck & Loader Services Inc., and after 22 rewarding and successful years he enjoyed an early retirement in 1994. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Wilma. They celebrated 35 years of marriage March 23, 2003. He is also survived by his daughters Terryll Randl and husband Jeff, Robyn Ellis and husband Richard, granddaughters Christy, Stacy, and Samantha, grandson Brandon, and sister Carol Almond. Dave will always be cherished and remembered for his sense of humor, his loving spirit and his kind and generous heart. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2003, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Immanuel Bible Church, 6017 E. Greenway Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254. See Also: Find A Grave |
