| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Thursday, March 4, 1982, p. 13 Drexel M. Sampley, a 20 year resident of Aguila, died on Feb. 28 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City. He was 77. Mr. Sampley was born in Fordsville, Kentucky. He owned and operated Sampley's Flying Service in Aguila where he also worked as an agricultural aerial applicator pilot. He was a charter member of the Wickenburg Sheriff's Posse. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Sampley of Aguila; four sons, Robert and James Sampley, both of Phoenix, Robert Bracken, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Samuel Slaughter, Aguila; two daughters, Louise Stevenson, Las Vegas, and Patty Holder, Gilroy, Ca.; three brothers, Hubert Sampley, Las Vegas, Merle Sampley, Homestead, Fl., and Grandville Sampley, Sun City, Ca.; two sisters, Wauneda Miller, Clear Lake, Ca., and Erma Killby, Lancaster, Ca.; and 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Mar. 4 at 10 a.m. Henry Brubaker will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
