| Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, Arizona) Saturday, November 13, 1971, p. 16 Rites Set For Cochise Court Clerk BISBEE--Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Antlers in Elks Park for M. E. "Rusty" McPherson, 67, who died Thursday morning at the Copper Queen Hospital. Burial will be in the Elks plot at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Dugan Funeral Chapel. Mr. McPherson was a native of Tombstone. Throughout his life, he worked in the office of the clerk of the Cochise County Superior Court and at the time of his death was serving a third term as court clerk. When the county seat was moved to Bisbee 40 years ago, Mr. McPherson moved to Bisbee also. He was a past exalted ruler of Bisbee Elks Lodge No. 671, a past district deputy and past state president of the Elks. He has served the local lodge as secretary for the past 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a sister-in-law, Mrs. C. J. Prodanocich of Douglas; and a daughter, Mrs. Clarene Byrd, of Mesa. The Cochise County Board of Supervisors met Friday in special session to appoint Mrs. Bonnie Pavlovich as acting clerk of the Superior Court. See Also: Find A Grave |
