>>> November 19, 1936 to March 19, 2009 <<<

Lawrence Clare Sabo, 72, of Lake Havasu City was called home on March
19, 2009 to rest in peace with our Lord after a brief battle with
cancer. Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on November 19, 1936. He met
his future wife, Mary Ann Hughes, in high school and married her soon
after they graduated. They would have celebrated their 54th wedding
anniversary on June 29.

Wanting to get away from the cold winters in Michigan, Larry briefly
moved his young family to Arizona before moving on to California,
where he remained for the next 26 years. After surviving his first
battle with cancer that took away his voice box, Larry and Mary Ann
decided a change was needed. They moved to Lake Havasu City after
purchasing London Bridge Ice Cream Parlor in the English Village in
1989.

Larry's love of sports was well known. He was the star fullback on his
high school football team, and coached his son's teams when he was
young in addition to keeping up on all the major football, basketball
and baseball games throughout the year. Larry was also known for his
cooking skills. When any of his children had questions about a recipe
he was the one they called for advice and/or help.

Larry is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ann, his children,
Cathy Sepulveda of Lake Havasu City, AZ., Debbie (Carlos) Gallegos of
Corona, CA., Vickie Sabo of Anaheim, CA., Nancy Sabo-Bunker of Chino
Hills, CA., Mike (Ellen) Sabo of Lake Havasu City, AZ., his eleven
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and little Tinker. He is
also survived by his brothers Paul, Chuck, and Mike and sisters
Suzanne, Janet and Jeannie and their families.

Although we can no longer hold you or see your smile, we know that you
are in a better place. You will always be in our hearts…

Funeral mass will be said on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 11:30 AM with
a rosary at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church
with Father Mike Ashibuogwu officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Larry's name to Hospice of
Havasu, P O Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Thoughts and
condolences may be sent to the family at www.lietz-
