Globe Pastor Dies After Long Illness

GLOBE, Sept. 23--The Rev. Verge McCanlies, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, died at a local hospital last night after a long illness.

He came here some time ago from Phoenix to accept the pastorate of the local church.

Surviving are his wife and several children in Globe.
