| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Sunday, October 30, 2011, p. B9 Harry L. Van Court, 81, of Phoenix, passed away on October 26, 2011. He was born in Fort Worth, TX. His parents were on a vacation trip and could not return to Arizona "ahead of the stork". He was brought "home" to Arizona soon after. The family home was in Oak Creek Canyon, where he spent may hours fishing and roaming the hills with his horse. Harry served in the Seabees, in the Philippines, during WW II. After his military days, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummins Arizona Diesel and later with Samaritan Health, taking care of the diesel operated generators. After his retirement he and his wife traveled extensively in their 5th wheel trailer. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, his son Albert, and daughter Betty; grandchildren, Mary Vasquez, Stephanie Alonzo, Michelle Shake, and David, Laura and Steven Van Court; great-grandchildren, Robert, Victoria, Ray, Anthony, Cindy, Michael and David. Visitation will be held at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery. www.ALMoore-Grimshaw.com See Also: Find A Grave |
