Anna Marie Laughlin, 69, passed away Feb. 20, 2001. As her husband I would like everyone to know that Anna Marie was a GREAT WIFE for 38 years. She knew when to Call, when to raise, and When to Fold. We both received a great deal of enjoyment in the folding part. She was born to Walter and Irma Shafer in Sargent Nebraska. Her family lived in Arkansas and Texas before moving to Flagstaff Arizona. Anna owned and operated Anna's Contracting a State licensed commercial general contracting company. Graduated in 1945 from Flagstaff High School, with two years at Northern University in Flagstaff. She was dedicated to her Christian Faith and lived it every day of the year.

She is survived on one side by her husband Jim plus her children Albert and Betty VanCourt, his children Kristy Hipp and Nina Cook and our child Michael Laughlin. Five grandchildren, one great grandchild. On the other side by her mother Irma Shafer and brothers Walt, Frank, and Robert Shafer and their wives. Many nieces and nephews. She will be missed very much by everyone that knew her!!!

Memorial service at the First United Methodist Church at Central Ave. and Missouri, Friday, March 2, 2001 at 10:00 A.M., with informal reception to follow. Any contributions or flowers should go to the AZ Diabetic Association. Last but by no means, least; Good bye Sweetheart.
