Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, Arizona) Wednesday, October 13, 2004 Eula "Bobbie" Lord, born March 7, 1926, in Fluvanna, Texas, died October 11, 2004. Preceded in death by husband, Blaine Lord; sisters, Eppie Robertson and Marie Lopez, and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Lord. Survived by brothers, Emory Freeman (Kiyoko), A. J. Freeman (Stella) and Joe Freeman; sisters, Iris Swick (George), Anne Vance (Norm), Joanne Brannan, and Jean Sturgill (Corbitt). Also, survived by daughters, Kae Hunter (Billy) and Beverly McCluskey (Ed); stepsons, Tom Lord (Margaret), George and Mike Lord, and stepdaughter, Linda Bonomi. Also, survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Eula graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and worked for the Veterans Administration in Bayard, NM, and Tucson for 45 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Avra Chapter 68 in Marana. Eula was an uncommon, phenomenal woman who was a rock of support for her family and friends, and overcame many difficult obstacles in her life that would have overcome a lesser person. She will be missed by all those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at the Primitive Baptist Church at 5921 E. Lee, Tucson, AZ at 1100 A.M. Thursday, October 14, 2004 with a private interment at South Lawn Tucson. In lieu of flowers a contribution to your favorite charity in her name is encouraged.
