Philip Bruce Socwell, known as Phil by all, died in his home in Wickenburg, Arizona. He was 76 years old and died surrounded by his wife and two daughters.

Philip was born April 11, 1944 in Janesville, Wisconsin. He grew up in Fall River, Wisconsin and attended high school there.

He enlisted in the Army and served in the 14th Cavalry on the Folda gap in Germany.

December 17, 1966 he married Andrea Bolstad in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

Philip and Andrea lived in the Madison, Wisconsin area and had two daughters prior to their move to Phillips, Wisconsin.

Philip was a machinist/tool and die maker for Oscar Meyer in Madison, Wisconsin, Phillips Plastics in Phillips, Wisconsin and Palo Verde nuclear plant in Arizona.

In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling with their RV, lapidary, gold prospecting and especially his time with his grandchildren and great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother.

Philip is survived by his wife of 53 years, Andrea, of Wickenburg, Arizona. His two daughters: Michelle (Robert) Young, of Phillips, Wisconsin and Lori (Mark) Larson of Ridgway, Pennsylvania. His four grandchildren: Ian Larson of Ridgway, Pennsylvania. Erin (Tyler Slade) Young of Ames, Iowa. Hannah (Dominick Koller) Larson of Park Falls, Wisconsin. Sydney (Kyle Polster) Young of Elko New Market, Minnesota. Great grandson Bennett McKuen of Park Falls, Wisconsin.

Philip will be buried in Phillips, Wisconsin with a memorial service at a later date due to Coronavirus.
