Arizona Silver Belt (Globe, Arizona) Tuesday, August 28, 2002 After a lengthy battle with liver disease, Rene Lynn Anderson, 36, of Globe died Aug. 9 at UCLA Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., awaiting a liver transplant. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and moved with her family to Globe in 1976. She was a graduate of Globe High School and attended Gila Pueblo College. Survivors include two sons, Joshua Anderson and Mathew Anderson of Globe; one sister, Mishelle Wharton of Bisbee; one brother, Mark Wharton of Mesa; her grandmother, Blanche Wharton of Iowa; and her life-long friend, former husband and father of her children, Neil Anderson. A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.
