Byron Tynes, 69, who retired as a master plumber in the Salt River Project, died Sunday in St. Luke's Hospital.
Mr. Tynes, 4645 S. 10th St., was born in Cisco, Tex., and came to Hayden in 1912. He resided in Winkelman and Globe before moving to Phoenix in 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby V.; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Lavigne and Mrs. Steven Pennington, both of Phoenix; five sons, Charles and B.J. of Phoenix, Bryon I. and Thomas E. of Tucson and George C. of Florence; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Cook of Prescott and Mrs. June McKissick of Mesa; a brother out of state; 23 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Burial will be in Double Butte Cemetery, Tempe.
