Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Monday, January 30, 1961, p. 35 PRESCOTT--Funeral services will be conducted for Luther Franklin Wilson, 72, at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Widner's Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Charles F. Parker and the Elks Lodge officiating. Mr. Wilson, a native of Arizona, died Friday in the Community Hospital here. He was born in the Banning Creek area near Goldwater's Lake. He moved to Mayer and later came to Prescott in 1928. He was a retired miner, having owned many mines in Yavapai County. He also owned and operated the Black Canyon Stage Line between Mayer and Prescott from 1917 to 1920. Mr. Wilson served as a deputy under Sheriff George Ruffner. Survivors include his wife May of Prescott; three daughters, Mrs. Wyona Kent, Mrs. Mickie Vallely and Mrs. Yvonne Howington, also of Prescott; one sister, Mrs. Dave Fowler of Prescott and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
