| Published in Today's News Herald on Dec. 13, 2020 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Norman Eugene Nissen passed away on November 30, 2020 at the age of 94 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born in Los Angeles, California on April 30, 1925 to John and Edna Nissen. Norman served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He married his sweetheart, Peggy, in Pasadena, California on November 27, 1948. He was a restaurant entrepreneur, and lived in Laverne and Apple Valley, California before moving to Lake Havasu. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, flying, baseball, and bowling. He was a member the Shriners Society. Norman is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years; Peggy Nissen, parents; John and Edna Nissen, sons; Kenny and Johnny Nissen, and two brothers. He is survived by his daughters; Janice "Sue" Ericson and Kathryn Touche, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
