Howard Kenneth (Smitty) Smith

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Howard Kenneth Smith, known to his friends as "Smitty", passed away on
December 4, 2020 at the age of 84 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was
born in Peoria, Illinois on February 17, 1936 to Louis and Lula Rae
Smith.

Howard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean
War. He was a VFW lifetime member and enjoyed dinner at the post on a
regular basis. He was also a member of the American Legion and the
Teamsters Union. He worked as a truck driver and lived in Glendora,
West Covina, and Pomona, California before moving to Mesa, Arizona and
finally settling in Lake Havasu for the past 10 years.

Howard was proud of his exceptional safety driving record. In 37 years
of driving trucks, he had a near perfect safety record.

Howard never spoke unkindly of anyone and had many beloved and caring
friends in Lake Havasu City.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents; Louis and Lula Rae (Lohr)
Smith and his sister; Doris Wagner.

He is survived by his son; Sean Smith, daughter; Delaine Reznicek,
brother; Glen (Bev) Smith, his sister; Corrine LeCompte, his three
grandchildren, his great-grandchild and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the
Wounded Warriors, Disabled Vets, Paralyzed Vets, VFW or American
Legion.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz Fraze Funeral Home.
