Lake Havasu City, Arizona -
On October 25th, 2020, Roberta Watkins, loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at home in Henderson,
Nevada. She was born to Robert and Elsie Zingali in Acushnet,
Massachusetts. The family moved to California in 1958. She was raised
in Garden Grove, California with her seven siblings and attended GG
High School. She worked for the GG School District before retiring and
moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona in 2003. Where she managed the Our Lady
of the Lake Soup Kitchen serving the community for 11 years before
retiring. She was involved in the Catholic Daughters and serving the
homeless through the food bank.
Roberta and Chuck owned a vacation home on the Parker Strip prior to
moving to Lake Havasu. She loved spending time there with her family
and friends. She made many lifelong friends during those years.
Roberta married Charles Watkins together they had two sons, Matthew
and Jason. She had 3 grandchildren, Cannon, Tiffany and Robert and 2
great grandchildren, Cash and Cassidy. She loved all her family and
friends very much and all who knew her loved her too.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joseph. She is
survived by her Husband Charles, Sons Matthew and Jason, Daughter-in-
laws Kimberly and Deborah and all her grandchildren and great
grandchildren as well as her siblings Stephen, Nancy, Martin, Robert
Jr., Donna, Michael and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 1pm on
Saturday, December 19, 2020.
