Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Wednesday, May 30, 1951, p. 11 BUCKEYE, May 29 (Special)--Ila Ann Parks, 72, long prominent in Arizona cattle ranching, died at Phoenix Monday after a long illness. A resident of Arizona since 1885, she was active in the cattle business at Prescott and Waggoner with her first husband, Eli Bates, for many years. Mr. Bates died in 1933 (sic: 1932). She married Mr. Parks and had been in the cattle business in the Buckeye area for about eight years. Surviving are two sons, Bud, Gila Bend, and William H., with the U.S. Navy; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Powers, Eugene, Ore., and three sisters, Mrs. Ann Donald, Buckeye; Mrs. Rosy Bates, and Mrs. Lizzie Scholey, both of Prescott.
