| Published in Journal Advocate on Dec. 18, 2020 - Sterling, Colorado - Robert died November 17, 2020 in Lake Havasu City, AZ, of natural causes. He loved the desert and flying his RC airplanes with his friends. He was an avid fisherman on the Poudre River, a skilled hunter and trap shooter, and artisan silver and turquoise jeweler. Rudy was a member of the 1st Sterling HS State Championship in 1953. Bob graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Recreation Management and was employed by the City of Denver for 20 years as Director of Athletics. He was also inducted into the Denver Softball Hall of Fame. He is survived by his by his ex-wife Joan Rudel of Draper UT, his son Jay (Natalie) of Draper UT, and Jeremy (Katie) of Denver; grandchildren Collin, Sydney, Mason, Maxton, and Maddox. He was preceded in death by parents Arlington and Julia Lucile and brother Richard.
