| Published in Today's News Herald on Dec. 22, 2020 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Willis Emmett Wright, 97, of Lake Havasu City, died at his home on Dec. 7, 2020 surrounded by his family. Will will be remembered for the colorful Hollywood stories he told, the sound business advice he provided, the hole-in-one he made - shooting his age at 83, attending high school reunions until 2014, being a son of God, and a gentleman throughout his life. Will was born in Crookston, Minnesota, and graduated from Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Will enlisted in the US Army in 1941 while he attended the University of Minnesota, lived in California where he began his career in manufacturing, and retired from his career as a national sales manager in Massachusetts. He retired to Lake Havasu City in 1988 where he enjoyed wonderful years of traveling, playing golf, and entertaining friends and family. Will was proceeded in death by his parents Emmett and Jeannette, brother Dr. Robert and sister-in-law Regis, and first wife Joan. He is survived by his wife Mary, two daughters Lisa and Jennifer, seven grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church on Dec. 23, 2020, at 11 a.m and will be streamed live on the church's Facebook page.
