| Published in Mohave Daily News Online on Dec. 31, 2020 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Andrew Kent Reynolds, age 40, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was born in Fontana, California on November 10, 1980 to Gary Andrew Reynolds and Randi Jean Coleman Meltzer. He was the eldest of their three children. He grew up in Southern California and moved to Mohave Valley when he was 12 years old. He was a proud graduate of River Valley High School, class of 1998. He competed in high school golf championships all four years of high school. At 16 years old he was the AZJGA Golf Champion. In 2008, Andrew attempted to qualify for the US OPEN Golf Championship. He made it to the final round of qualification before being eliminated. Andrew was also a member of RVHS debate team. He was on the state championship team for four years straight. He earned several medals and he lettered in both Varsity Golf and Debate. After High school, Andrew attended Lee University in Tennessee. After a year he decided to go to Montana. Here he found his true calling in life. He was a cowboy through and through. He loved horses, ranching, and riding with his three sons. He was wonderful with animals, especially cattle, horses and dogs. He could problem solve and fix anything. He spent 20 years working multiple ranches throughout Montana, Arizona and New Mexico. He met many wonderful friends along the way. He later completed his university studies at New Mexico State University earning a Bachelor's degree in Range Management. His latest adventure was helping to build the Rain Tank Cattle Company in Grand Canyon, Arizona. He was very excited to have been chosen to run this project and was looking forward to seeing it grow. Andrew loved his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, father, brothers, grandfathers and uncles. He was always someone that could light up the room with his smile and his funny stories. Andrew loved with his whole heart. His greatest loves and proudest accomplishments were his boys. He was much loved by all who knew him. He would help anyone in need, and was much respected by his local golf club in Bullhead City, as well as all his many ranch workers. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ann Marie Koenig and Minida Joy Cook; his grandfather, Dannie Lee Koenig; and his uncles, Gregg Anthony and Glenn Alan Reynolds. He is survived by his three sons, Andrew James, Jeremy Alan, and Lucas Alden; his parents, Gary Reynolds (Cheri Mahan), Randi Meltzer (Edward); his sister, Kristee Sturgill (Chris); brothers, Gary Reynolds (Brittany), and Michael Howard (Emily); girlfriend, Ashley Tozier; grandfathers, Ron Reynolds (Dora), Jerry Coleman (Nancy); many nieces and nephews; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held in Wickenburg, Arizona on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Andrew's honor to an animal shelter, ranching or horse charity of your choice. |
