Helen J. Halsey, age 82 of Fort Mojave, Arizona, passed away on
Friday, January 8, 2021 peacefully with her family at her side. She
was born to the late Hyrum A. Mower and Veda C. Olsen Mower on October
2, 1938 in Ephraim, Utah.
Helen grew up in San Bernardino, California and graduated from San
Bernardino High School. She moved to the Mojave Valley in the 70's and
worked as a casino dealer and cage cashier for several years at the
Flamingo in Laughlin. She loved boating, water skiing, crocheting,
online card games and watching old western movies.
Helen was married to Robert L. Halsey on July 1, 1978; they were
married for 29 years.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Halsey; brother,
Marice Rostrum; and four daughters, Linda McDonald, Marie Lynn Yager,
Ellen VanHouten Wamel, and Elaine Lindhorst.
Helen is survived by her brother, Max Mower of Auburn, CA; sister,
Martha Ridge of Yucaipa, CA; eight grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
Helen has graciously donated herself to Research for Life in Phoenix,
AZ to impact others quality of life and benefit humanity.
