GOULD, James Allen

Published in Today's News-Herald on Jan. 24, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - James Allen Gould passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He joins his wife Sharon, who passed away in 2007. Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 8, 1933. He grew up in the Los Angeles area, with his parents, Glenn and Emily. Jim graduated from Inglewood High School and attended both El Camino and Santa Monica Colleges. He graduated from Santa Monica College after serving with the Army’s 82nd Airborne. Jim was a partner in an electrical contracting company in Los Angeles for 25 years. Before moving to Lake Havasu in 1992, Jim and Sharon lived in Westchester, California, where they raised four sons, and spent many years in Little League, Pony-Colt and Pop Warner Football. Jim and Sharon were married 51 years, having met over the backyard fence many years earlier. Jim is survived by sons, Steve, Gary, and Robert; grandson, Robbie Gould of Lake Havasu; and many cousins from coast to coast. Jim is preceded in death by son; Tom, grandson Michael Gould. He had many life-long friends, and will be missed by all. Jim, like his wife Sharon, requested a private service, with just his sons and grandson, feeling he wanted to be remembered as he was in life.
