Julius David Kater

Bullhead City, Arizona -

Julius David "Dave" Kater, beloved husband, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle and friend, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday,
November 24, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on May 14, 1937.

"Dave" Kater was a self made man. Born in Indonesia, at age 18, he was
sponsored by Bill and Myrtia Mardis to begin a new life in the United
States. Dave Kater began his life in California working as a
landscaper and then later becoming an employee with General Telephone,
where in 1997 he retired after 30 years.

He met his wife, Louise in 1965 and within 6 months of meeting they
were married. Dave and Louise settled into their first home in Azusa,
California where they welcomed three daughters, Kimberley, Eleanora
and Janette. In 1975, Dave moved his young family to West Covina where
he welcomed his first son, David, a year later. In 1977, Dave moved to
La Puente with his family and in 1988, welcomed Danny into the family.
He then went on to work for Volt Communications for some time before
fully retiring. Upon retirement, Dave and Louise moved to Bullhead
City, AZ.

Dave had a very easy going personality. Anyone who came in
contact with him felt appreciated, accepted and loved. He leaves
behind a legacy of generosity and love.

In his lifetime, Dave especially enjoyed family time, gardening,
fishing, golfing, spending time with friends and karaoke.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny; mother, Wilhelmina DeLang
Kater; and father, Jacob Pieter Kater.

He is survived by: his wife Louise; children and their spouses,
Kimberley Renner (Robert) of Gainesville, GA, Eleanora Clifford
(David) of Upland, CA, Janette Kater (Melina) of Long Beach, CA and
David (Judy) of Northridge, CA.; grandchildren, Nichole Edson (Miles)
of Snohomish, WA, Jessica Renner of Lynnwood, WA, Mira Clifford of
Upland, CA, Achilles Kater of Bullhead City, AZ and Haven Kater of
Northridge, CA.; as well as family in Holland .

Julius David Kater's Celebration of Life will be held at a future
date.
