| Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Jan. 24 to Jan. 31, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Errol Craig "Shorty" Spencer, age 74, a 30-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born September 23, 1946 in San Jose, Calif. to William Errol Spencer and Phyllis Eulaine (Wohleater) Spencer. Errol worked as a landscaper and gardner. He loved gardening and wood finishing. Most importantly though was the volunteer work that he committed himself to over the years in the community. He volunteered at WARMC Hospital for 3 years; City of BHC pickleball and softball; girls softball league Fastball VIP's in Laughlin; BHC River Regatta; and as an elf at Christmas for BHC P.D. He was a greeter at Caring Hearts Food Ministry, Amazing Grace Fellowship, Faith Chapel in Needles and Laughlin Community Church. He was also involved in Assistant Living Ministry and River Valley Ministoral Association. In 2016, Errol was a nominee for the Civics Service Awards. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and his beloved "Foxy", a golden-brown Chihuahua. He is survived by his caretaker and best friend of 15 years, Fred Bruno and grandsons, Thomas A. Bruno and Fredrick J. Bruno, Jr., whom adopted him as their family in 2006. A celebration of life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Fort Mohave, AZ. |
