Larry Gile, 86, passed away Jan. 4, 2021 at his home in Lake Havasu.
Mr. Gile was born in Scobey, Montana, though most of his life was
lived in Southern California where he graduated from San Pedro High
School and later joined the Marine Corps, serving in Korea. Larry
worked with the L.A. City Fire Department for 22 years, as a
paramedic, fireman and later Captain. He was awarded the Firefighter's
Medal of Valor in 1968.
Following the passing of his wife, Gloria, of 48 years in 2003, Larry
made his home in Lake Havasu City where these later years were shared
with his loving and loved companion, Marcia Shupp. Here, Larry found
many new friends with a passion that matched his for classic cars and
he enjoyed tackling a variety of activities and projects with them.
Larry Gile was greatly loved and will be missed, until we meet again.
Mr. Gile is survived by three children, six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
