| Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Mary Jean Messer, 89, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 29, in Lake Havasu City. Mary was born on January 1, 1931, in Elton, Wisconsin, to Richard “Dixie” Nelson Whitt and Nettie Mae Townsend. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Virgil Messer. The couple have been Havasu residents for 52 years. She is survived by the couple’s five children Michael, Connie, Linda, Terry, and Diane. Mary also is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Messer and Ethel Messer, as well as 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by grandsons Michael and Shane, and daughter-in-law JoAnn Messer. A funeral and visitation service for Mary’s family and friends is set for 2 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Bradbury Memorial Center. Mary will be buried in Desert Lawn Cemetery in Mohave Valley, Arizona, following a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 4. See Also: Find A Grave |
