| Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Feb. 7 to Feb. 14, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Kelleen Ann Clarendon (nee Morris), age 51, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 of an undiagnosed illness in Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. Kelli was born July 22, 1969 in Oceanside, California, and was raised by her loving parents Patricia and Leon Morris. Kelli grew up in Oceanside and Vista where her father served in the U.S. Marine Corp. She graduated from Vista High School, class of 1987. As a teenager, she loved to swim and was on a local swimming team. She loved the sun and going to the beach. When she later moved to Arizona, she loved sunny days on the Colorado River where she could socialize with her many friends. Kelli was a hard worker with a passion for customer service and held many responsible job positions. She worked her way up from reservations to become Director of Customer Service for Harrah's Entertainment, Laughlin, Nev. She later became Vice President of Donated Goods & Retail, Goodwill Industries, Bullhead City, AZ, and was most recently employed as Human Resource Manager, Mojave Cannabis, AZ. Kelli was also an Adjunct Instructor, Business 298, Coconino Community College, Flagstaff, AZ. Kelli was always happy, no matter the circumstances. She had a beautiful smile. Everybody loved her and she loved everybody back. She was as strong as they come and even in the toughest situations she found a positive and stayed positive. She met the many challenges in her life without complaining. Although her first two marriages ended in divorce, Kelli continued to be resilient, raising her three teen sons with care and attention. She enjoyed attending their games, whether it was football, baseball, or basketball. Evenings they would go off-roading in their Razor to Nacho Bar, a popular off-road meeting place. Family was always first. She would do anything for her boys. On November 11, 2017, Kelli married the love of her life, Troy Clarendon, and they resided in Fort Mojave, Ariz. To express their devotion, they got tattoos on their arms, Troy's saying, "Til my last day" and Kelli's saying "Til my last breath." Kelli always lived life to the fullest, making every effort to get family together. She was also generous and selfless. If someone's vehicle broke down in the desert or had an accident at the river, Kelli was the one who stayed and talked to the victim until help arrived. When her ex-husband's father needed a home, Kelli took him in. She also cared for him after he was hospitalized with kidney failure and asked to die at home. Her kindness never ended. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Morris. Kelli is survived by her husband, Troy of Fort Mojave, Ariz.; sons, Michael Morris (Justina), Kingman, Ariz., Aric Nichols (Jenna), Phoenix, Ariz., and Zachary Reynolds, Fort Mojave, Ariz.; step-son, Teddy Clarendon, Fort Mojave, Ariz.; mother, Patricia Morris DeCurtins and stepfather, Rick DeCurtins, Vista, Calif.; brothers, Kevin (Cathy) Sugarland, Texas, Joshua (Vanessa) and Gloucester, Va.; her sister, Mindy, San Marcos, Calif.; her much adored grandson, Jackson Clarendon Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Her heartbroken family was unable to visit her during her illness due to COVID restrictions and wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Sunrise Hospital for their kindness and care of Kelli during her last weeks of life.
