ANDERSON, Elsie Frances

Published in The Arizona Republic from Mar. 1 to Mar. 7, 2021 - Phoenix, Arizona - Elsie Frances Anderson, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, on December 23rd; at Huger Mercy Living Center, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was the last survivor of the 8 children of William T. Anderson and Anna Lydia Wapola Anderson of New York Mills, Minnesota. Preceding Elsie are her sisters and brothers; Lempi Holmstrom, Edna MacDonald, Bertha Barber, Hazel Hill, Florence Dreckman, William S. Anderson, and Calvin Anderson who died in infancy. Elsie lived most of her life in Phoenix, where she enjoyed a 35 year career in Management at SperryRand, until her retirement in 1986. Elsie was a loving Aunt/Great Aunt to her 14 nieces and nephews, and their children. She always remembered every Birthday, special occasion, and holiday with a card in which she always included a little "chuckle". She was also very generous with financial contributions to a long list of charitable organizations. Rest In Peace Aunt Elsie! A private burial service will be held in New York Mills after the COVID 19 virus subsides.
