| Published in Today's News Herald on Mar. 12, 2021 - Lake havasu City, Arizona - James Mayson of Lake Havasu City passed away on March 9, 2021 at the age of 83. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Lucile and Joseph Mayson. Jim grew up in Dallas, TX, and went to school at Sewanee; University of the South, eventually graduating with an MD from Duke Medical School. He was drafted in 1965 and served as a U.S. Navy physician. Jim owned and operated the Riverside Industrial Medical Clinic in Riverside, CA and in 1989 he went back to school and obtained a Juris Doctor from Citrus Belt Law School in Riverside. Playing golf was a favorite pastime and he spent many hours at local golf courses. Before his retirement in Lake Havasu City, he also owned and operated KJMB radio 100.3 in Blythe, CA for many years. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Joe and is survived by his wife Angela and their two children Thomas and Lucile, and four grandchildren.
