| Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Mar. 19 to Mar. 20, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Doris Jones Messer, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home in Kingman, Ariz. on Saturday, February 13, 2021. She was born on July 25, 1945 to Anna Mae and Dale Jackson in Dimmit, Texas. Doris was a longtime resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. She moved to Bullhead with her family in 1969 and has spent the last nine years in Kingman, Ariz. Doris was happiest when she was able to spend time with her family and all of her grandchildren. She always left a loving impression on everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Donald Jones; parents; and her sister, Virginia Courtney. She is survived by her husband, Walter Messer of Kingman, Ariz.; two daughters, LaDell (Butch) Lucas of Weatherford, Texas and Dana (Richard) Shinoda of Monrovia, Calif.; three stepchildren, Scott (Barbara) Messer, Gary (Lisa) Messer and Donna (Jim) Resch; brother, Charlie Daniels of Pahrump, Nev. Doris and Walt together have a total of 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Laughlin Ranch in Bullhead City, AZ. |
